During the months of March and April, FRANCON invites you to experience a haven of contemplation and inspiration.
Amsterdam Fashion Week and FRANCON have been collaborating since the AFW September edition of 2022. It was during this edition that Creative Director May Kaan and Architect Kees Kaan presented their inaugural show, “Vantage Point,” amidst the impressive 151,000-piece collection of the iconic Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. Renowned for skilfully translating architectural principles into cohesive fashion collections, the brand maintains a symbiotic relationship between environment and design. The interdisciplinary partnership of May and Kees is especially exciting in the light of their AFW Suite take-over, having both influence over the interior of the Suite as well as the conveying of their identity as a womenswear brand.
Upon stepping into your accommodation, anticipate a warm reception featuring a special surprise. May and Kees Kaan extend a welcoming gesture with a glass of celebratory champagne and a playlist crafted to harmonise with the atmosphere, setting the scene for an extraordinary stay in Amsterdam. The suite will make you navigate through an array of handpicked literature out of the founders’ own collections, as well as a selection of Nai010 Publishers. You’ll find scattered architectural models throughout the suite, each carefully crafted by KAAN Architects. Furthermore, a selection of FRANCON’s staple pieces will be available for rental purposes. An assortment of eco-friendly care products provided by KINFILL reflect a dedication not only to your comfort but also to environmental responsibility. On top of all of this, FRANCON left a surprise gift in their AFW Suite for you to find.
