On Tuesday the 3rd of September at 4 PM, Ronald van der Kemp’s much-anticipated fashion spectacle will take over the bustling Kalverstraat. This event is open to everyone, offering the public a rare opportunity to witness a runway show that merges high fashion with upcycling.
Under the creative direction of the renowned sustainable couture designer, 60 models—including well-known personalities such as Carolien Spoor, Susan Visser, Anouk Smulders, Anita Witzier, and others—will grace the streets of Amsterdam. These designs, crafted from clothing donated by top brands like Levi’s, H&M, Tommy Hilfiger, and Calvin Klein, draw attention to the official launch of FASHION.foundation, a groundbreaking initiative from LINDA.foundation. The platform aims to provide free clothing, shoes, and accessories to financially vulnerable families across the Netherlands. By offering a place where those in need can shop at no cost, FASHION.foundation hopes to boost the self-esteem and confidence of individuals facing financial challenges.
Ronald van der Kemp expressed his enthusiasm for the event, stating, “I’m thrilled to support FASHION.foundation with this brilliant initiative that proves there is enough fashion in the world to share! With this Amsterdam Fashion Week spectacle, we want to inspire everyone to embrace fashion, creativity, and, more importantly, to be themselves. Together, we can make a difference in the world!”
The event is the result of a unique collaboration between Ronald van der Kemp, the City of Amsterdam, NIO House, local entrepreneurs and property owners, LINDA.foundation, and several prominent fashion brands. It promises to be a visually stunning and thought-provoking display, accessible to everyone who wishes to witness the future of fashion unfold in the heart of Amsterdam.
Join us on September 3rd in Kalverstraat at 4 PM for an unforgettable experience that celebrates creativity, compassion, and community.
