Open to Public | P.A.P Collective organises Talks in light of their “Future Vintage” Capsule Wardrobe

As we approach the last weeks of August, P.A.P Collective gears up to launch their “Future Vintage” capsule wardrobe during Amsterdam Fashion Week Edition 2024. Emphasising a future where fashion is both sustainable and timeless, Future Vintage is a celebration of items to be collected, cherished, and passed down to the next generation. This approach shifts the industry’s focus towards local craftsmanship, premium sustainable materials, and enduring comfort.

The official launch at the WestCord Fashion Hotel Amsterdam promises a unique journey for guests, guided by the designers and creators behind the collective. Attendees will immerse themselves in a sensory experience where materials and fashion stories take center stage. Unlike the distant spectacle of a traditional catwalk, the Fashion Hotel setting invites guests to be an integral part of the show, encouraging interaction with the collection. Visitors are welcome to ask questions, try on pieces, and feel the textures of the clothing, making for a deeply engaging and personal experience.

The Future Vintage shop will transport guests into a world of sustainable and comfortable luxury, where each item tells a story of mindful creation and enduring value. P.A.P Collective’s commitment to sustainability extends beyond their design philosophy; they utilise leftover materials from luxury fashion houses to create accessible couture experiences. This approach not only makes high-end fashion attainable but also underscores the importance of reusing and repurposing in the fashion industry.

In addition to the collection showcase, P.A.P Collective invites everyone to participate in the P.A.P Talks, a series of interactive discussions that delve deeper into the concepts of Future Vintage. In the talk “Future Vintage – Materials & Craftsmanship,” couturier Leon Klaassen Bos will explore the foundations of this new approach to sustainability. Attendees will discover how sensuality and sustainable design can converge to create clothing that is not only beautiful and luxurious but also offers a fresh perspective on comfort. Another highlight, “Future Vintage – Leather,” focuses on leather as one of the most durable materials. This session promises to be an immersive experience where participants can listen, touch, and even smell the richness of leather, gaining insight into why it remains a cornerstone of sustainable fashion.
