Dutch fashion designer Tess van Zalinge collaborates with Wereld Natuur Fonds, the Dutch branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature, for the second year in a row. With the new campaign Nature’s Captions, she joins forces with Geraldine Kemper, S10, Leafs, Loiza Lamers and Freddy Tratlehner to give a voice to nature.
“I am always concerned with sustainability and nature is my greatest source of inspiration. That it is under great threat really hurts me. With this unique collaboration, I want to use my strength to contribute to nature on a larger scale.” – Tess van Zalinge
Statement Caps
Last year, van Zalinge launched 2500 limited edition tiger T-Shirts to create awareness around the extinction of the tiger. The T-Shirts were given out when signing up for a WWF membership, supporting the organization to continue to protect and restore nature and its wildlife. This year, the designer created six limited edition caps in collaboration with Loiza Lamers, S10, Leafs, Freddy better known as Vjeze Fur and Geraldine Kemper. The Statement Caps feature personal captions of the aforementioned influencers, with embroidered words going from “more leafs more trees” to “I donated”. The caps are sustainably produced by the Dutch production house Unrobe, which actively uses its resources to reduce the impact of the fashion industry on the environment.
