For its latest collection, DANTE6 headed to Copenhagen Fashion Week to present Luminous Solar, its Spring/Summer 2027 collection inspired by the first female pilots of the 1920s and 1930s. Hosted by Dutch fashion influencer and content creator Linda Tol, the evening offered a closer look at the collection in a setting designed to slow down the usual pace of fashion week.
At the heart of Luminous Solar is the journey from sunrise to sunset, exploring the balance between strength, freedom and femininity. The starting point is the functional wardrobe of the first female aviators, including Amelia Earhart, whose utilitarian clothing is translated into a contemporary wardrobe.
The result is a collection that brings together practical silhouettes and more feminine finishes. Cargo trousers and denim sit alongside softer fabrics and polished pieces, while the silk bomber adds another layer to the collection’s play between utility and elegance. The pieces are designed to be mixed and restyled, moving easily between the demands of daytime and evening.
That versatility was also central to DANTE6’s Copenhagen presentation. Rather than adding another fast-paced appointment to the fashion week schedule, the brand created an evening centred around taking the time to experience the collection and connect with its guests. “During Fashion Week, everything is often very dynamic, whereas we wanted to create a moment to slow down, come together, and experience the transition from day to evening,” says Evelyne.
It is a fitting setting for a collection built around movement and transition. The aviation references bring a sense of functionality and independence, but Luminous Solar stops short of treating utility as purely utilitarian. Strong silhouettes, feminine details and considered fabrics keep the collection firmly rooted in DANTE6’s philosophy of Empowered Femininity.
With Copenhagen as its international introduction, Luminous Solar now makes its way to Amsterdam. From 17 to 19 September, DANTE6 will make its debut at GLUE Amsterdam, turning its Brandstore at Utrechtsestraat 121 into one of the design festival’s creative hubs. The brand will present a curated collaboration with contemporary artists Nancy Poeran, Leonie Goejer, Lilo Ceramics and GLINA³, whose work explores femininity through the interplay of softness and strength, attitude and timeless expression. The installations bring DANTE6’s fashion into conversation with art and design, offering visitors a chance to experience Luminous Solar and the brand’s world from a different perspective.
